Overview
The design brief for the DVD26 was to create a player capable of reproducing audio and video to the highest standard.
The DVD26 will play a wide variety of discs including CD, CD-Video, Video CDs, CD-R, CD-RW, SVCD, DVD-Video, and MP3 encoded music collections on CD-ROM.
A precise ultra-quiet transport accurately reads each disc while Burr-Brown DACs ensures CD playback of the highest order. All associated electronics are located on separate boards well away from the transport and power supply electronics, to deliver the lowest possible distortion and noise.
The highly regarded pixelworks™ and Analog Devices video processors combine to create exceptional digital and analogue video outputs. The HDMI output, capable of 1080p resolution, provides the optimal digital transmission of video for today’s DLP projectors, TFT screens and Plasmas. For a display device with analogue video inputs the DVD26 provides a Component video output with progressive scan for both PAL and NTSC material.
To provide comprehensive system integration, all analogue video outputs are buffered and isolated enabling the simultaneous connection of Component Video and Composite or S-Video feeds. System control is made far more straightforward with the implementation of both discrete IR and RS232 control inputs.
In keeping with Primare’s philosophy, the DVD26 is both simple and intuitive. The familiar transport and navigation controls can be accessed through the front panel buttons, whilst more extensive menu operation is made available using the supplied remote control.
