The Electra series from Focal is their latest product to combine all their technologies at an affordable price. All key elements from the Utopia Be has been put into this product including some revolutionary cabinet design and construction. What is retained is that lovely fast open JM-Lab sound but now with an extended and warm bass with super smooth treble from the new focal tweeter. The new 1007 has certainly bridged the gap between Utopia and Electra version that much closer now, OK there is not the super transparency of the Micro be but it is not night and day away. The new port design using the laminar slot is very impressive giving impressive depth allied to the speed that we are used to with these drivers.

Again not dissimilar in presentation that its baby brother the 1007 but has that freedom that a three way has over a conventional two way, fabulous bass extension with no bloom or over hang. You also get much more scale and an effortless presentation.
