Unlike conventional entertainment systems Living Control products do not intrude into your room or require you to take up valuable living space by placing your system on show (although you can if you like!)
With all Living Control systems your Hi-Fi and video components can be neatly stowed away both out of sight and away from prying fingers. Even loudspeakers can be discreetly located out of view or mounted in to the ceiling. You can even get rid of those unsightly CD racks collecting all that dust in the corner of your room! Lets face it I'm sure you spend far too long hunting for the CD you want anyway, how much easier would it be for you to search on a simple to use Display Pad which has all your CD's and DVD's stored in alphabetical order? With Living Control you can stop wasting precious time and space and start enjoying your entertainment.
What is Multi-Room?
Multi-Room is any of your CD's, DVD's or your favourite radio station in any room and at any time. Whether you like a particular radio station to wake you up in the morning, relaxing music whilst you take a bath and get ready for a night out or just to listen your latest jazz CD, all of your music collection can be played at any time and in any room.
Imagine, you are listening to your favourite CD in the living room but are expecting guests for dinner; you need to start preparing the food and get ready but want to continue listening to the CD. With Multi-room at the touch of a button you can carry on listening to the CD in the kitchen as you prepare the meal, and once your guests have arrived you can set the mood for dinner impressing everyone by selecting the chosen music at the push of a button rather than sorting through hundreds of CD's
How It Works
A typical system consists of one of the Living Control CPU's; some source components such as a multi disc CD player; a DVD player; and a radio tuner; a number of display pads and some loudspeakers. The whole system is professionally installed into your home so that you can use any of your source components from any of the rooms fitted with a Display Pad and speakers.
The system is split into zones, each zone being an area with a display pad and speakers. A zone may comprise of a bedroom and en-suite bathroom, or a room on its own such as the kitchen. The display pads will allow you to see what is happening in every zone.
For an example you could be listening to a CD in the bathroom whilst someone else is listening to the radio in the kitchen. With Living Control's more advanced installation's you can incorporate Home Cinema.
Display Pads
All Living Control systems use unique Display Pads, which are the same size as a standard light switch and are available in a range of different finishes to suit the décor of your home and existing switch plates. There is no need for any special fixings or boxes as all the display pads are designed to fit within the UK standard 25mm back box.
Each zone within the system has a display pad, which is extremely 'user friendly' thanks to its intuitive display and just three buttons, which guide you through operation. From the Display pad you can choose which product you want to play and then select either the radio station or disc by title. No matter what order your CD's are entered into the system you can select them from the alphabetical list that will appear on the display pad, this also applies to Radio stations, DVD's and Television Channels. They also accept commands from a remote control so you don't even have to get up to enjoy the music you desire.
Living control even manufacture special all weather display pads for outdoor use or humid conditions such as swimming pools and with special outdoor speakers you and your guests are never more than a push button away from entertainment which is literally at your fingertips.

Video Pads
