Based on the award-winning MC-12B, the MC-12B HD brings HDMI switching to the world’s most celebrated balanced pre-amp/processor with an impressive six HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. In response to the growing availability of HDMI equipped source components, the MC-12B HD will provide state-of-the-art sound quality and control for the most complex home entertainment systems. It retains the features of the acclaimed MC-12B (a balanced version of the MC-12 offering fully balanced outputs for every channel) with the addition of HDMI switching capabilities.
To simplify the wiring of analogue video sources, the MC-12B HD also includes up-conversion of Composite Video and S-Video sources to Component Video.
At the heart of the MC-12B HD are four Analog Devices SHARC Digital Signal Processing engines, providing the unit with enormous processing power. In contrast with conventional designs, the MC-12 will recover far more source information, giving film and music a new vitality.
Through its unique input implementation, the MC-12B HD offers the complete multi-channel music experience from formats such as DVD-A and SACD. In fact, it will extract the finest detail and nuance from ANY format, using absolutely ANY speaker type and location.
Version 5.0 continues Lexicon’s improvement programme: a newly designed implementation of Logic7 extends the MC-12B HD’s advantage over the competition; a fully automated level and time alignment system optimises the MC-12B HD irrespective of room shape or speaker layout; the MC-12B HD’s Lexicon LIVE! system is able to create an expansive soundstage for live recordings. Both auto calibration and LIVE! require the optional AKG microphone kit.
