The Xone miniature floorstanding loudspeaker combines musical insight and precision with superb bass timing, pitch, punch and extension into a beautifully svelte package that almost disappears from view in most domestic settings.
By critically damping the beautiful furniture grade cabinet with anti-resonance bitumastic panels, acoustic foam liners and natural wool, ensures that time-smearing and blurring is eliminated whilst the single low-mach port provides the optimum reflex loading of the drive units for a tangible musical performance of authentic scale and volume.
The Leema mid-bass drive unit features magnetically screened magnet assemblies mounted onto an open basket design and a fibreglass composite coil former that aids the exceptional midrange clarity and imaging. The Xone employs two Leema mid-bass units in a two-and-a-half-way configuration alongside the Leema magnetically screened high-flux neodymium-magnet, ferrofluid-damped fabric tweeter ensuring well controlled, sparkling high frequencies extending well beyond 30 Kilohertz, without the harsh unnatural quality of metal domes married to an exceptionally clear and informative midrange and bass with incredible definition, precision and depth.
The Linkwitz-Riley second order crossovers use 'Bennic' capacitors and air and iron dust cored inductors. This provides optimum distribution of the frequency spectrum with precise phase alignment resulting in seamless integration of the drive units to produce a superbly cohesive and dynamic musical picture.
Two pairs of gold plated binding posts allow individual access to the split crossover, specifically designed to gain the maximum benefit from bi-wiring.
