Overview
The original Stream CD player was designed incorporating many of the technical innovations pioneered in the multiple-award-winning Antila to combine a breathtaking performance, intuitive ease of use and incredible value for money.
The Stream 2 builds upon the award winning success of the original Stream by taking advantage of new research at Leema. The Stream 2 uses hand matched high-grade audiophile components in key areas producing vanishingly low distortion levels, a deep black background, fine high frequency detail and holographic spatial awareness.
Sixteen 24 bit / 192 kHz multi-bit Delta-Sigma converters are used in Leema's unique MD² Active Differential Multi-DAC configuration. The stereo output is derived from a fully balanced signal generated in the digital domain producing an incredibly real and tactile musical performance with almost no noise and distortion.
L-Drive, the Stream 2's innovative single control, intuitively performs all the usual CD functions such as CD tray open and close, play, stop, previous and next track selection and even direct track access.
To further enhance the operational simplicity the Stream 2 is fully LIPS® compliant. LIPS® allows Leema products to intelligently communicate with each other, allowing, for example, a single press of the L-Drive control to not only select play, but to automatically switch on the amplifier and select the CD input.
The Stream 2 effortlessly presents music with precision, power and an analogue-like delicacy within an expansive yet explicitly focused soundstage.
